Sue's Story

Friends of Sue Moran

Sue is the wife of Brian Moran and mom to Kailey, Liam & Sean. We have banned together to help Sue fight for her life. In May 2013, Sue was diagnosed with a rare and aggressive form of gallbladder cancer. The cancer has spread to Sue's stomach lining, bile ducts and lymph nodes. After 3 months of intense chemotherapy, Sue and her family have learned that treatments were not effective. The cancer is spreading and not responsive to any traditional treatments. Her options and time to fight the cancer are extremely urgent.

Sue has been immersed in daily supportive cancer treatment fro over a month. Tragically, none of these treatments were covered by insurance. Sue and Brian, along with family and friends, have desperately researched to identify other treatment options for Sue. As a result of their efforts, Sue was accepted into a specialized medical cancer treatment program in California on Monday September 9, 2013. She immediately began receiving extensive alternative treatments. Again, none of these treatments are covered by insurance and are extremely expensive. The enormous medical bills have created a massive financial burden for the Moran Family. 

Sue started her second week with two thumbs up! She is immersed in daily treatments. She embraces her Faith every day to help continue to give her strength and hope necessary to face cancer head on.
